Eton verses, 1754.

Manuscript, in multiple hands, and with numerous corrections, of a collection of several hundred Latin poems written as school exercises, followed by several verses written for Tripos at theUniversity of Cambridge. Most of the poems are annotated with the last names of their authors. The subjects of the verses include peace; the psalms; a speech by Aries; the poet John Milton; and the Gunpowder Plot. One poem by Wynne, "Urceas exit," is annotated, "The Persian Glass Man. Spectator." Another short poem is by "Lord Walpole," while another by "Carter" mentions Sir Robert Walpole. The volume also includes several verses in English, including On the death of the Revd. Mr. Reap, by "Roberts"; Lord North's verses, while at Eton; and, laid in, An epistle to a friend on the king's intended marriage and the report of an approaching peace.
